I have found my renewed purpose in becoming a therapist. My 24+ years of experience as a Registered Nurse (RN) with a Master of Nursing has provided me with comprehensive knowledge and skills to support you as a whole person, physically, emotionally, mentally, and spiritually. I believe intreating all people with compassion, understanding, and empathy. As an RN, psychotherapist, I also have knowledge on various types of medication, side effects and interactions as well as how stress, distress, and trauma can have an effect on the body and our nervous system.
I am also dually registered as a Registered Psychotherapist (Qualifying) with Master of Psychospiritual Studies. My training has allowed me to integrate spirituality in therapy sessions if you feel that it’s important to you.
I am a cisgender woman, Filipino-Canadian, Southeast Asian, middle-aged, heterosexual, able-bodied, middle-class, Christian, and I identify as more spiritual than religious.
As an RN, I am authorized to perform the controlled act of psychotherapy so that you
don’t have to do any of this by yourself. I am currently a member in good standing with
the College of Nurses of Ontario (CNO) and the College of Registered Psychotherapists
of Ontario (CRPO).
When I’m not in session, you’ll find me watching a K-drama, browsing through vintage shops, drinking taro coconut milk bubble tea or indulging in Kawartha Dairy ice cream. I live within the Durham Region with my partner, two teenage children and our dog. I love Chinese, Korean, Filipino and Thai cuisine. My faith reminds me that even in suffering, we are held, and that transformation is always possible. This shapes how I show up as a therapist: with presence, compassion, and a deep respect for each person’s story, including their spiritual journey.
